The Watering Hole Is At The Top Of The Frame
Care instructions come with every order. Success depends on understanding PAFCAL’s simple structure. No mess, no stress!
Of course every plant has its own needs for sunlight and that depends on a lot of things too! Plant age, season, humidity, location and sunlight are all factors. Over 400 plants do amazing in Pafcal.
To help your plants grow healthily, find their perfect sanctuary:
The Light: Filtered south-facing light (behind a lace curtain, for instance). Avoid direct summer sun it will 'sunburn' the leaves.
The Temp: Always above 10°C. Keep away from AC vents; the dry heat is the silent enemy of tropical growth.
Ask our chatbot located on the bottom of this page and on the homepage for your plants particular needs. You can input your location and it will give you precise care instructions tailored for your plant. Give it a try!

The Watering Gauge is on the Side Of The Frame
The convenient watering gauge on the side of the frame is a quick and easy way to see how much water is in the frame. Just fill to the indicator line, simple and clean!
Even if you can no longer see water through the level check window, your Pafcal may still be hydrated.
Touch the sponge directly. If it feels soft, your plant is content. If it feels slightly hard or 'crunchy,' it is time to water.
This tactile connection ensures you never over water or under water again.

Nutrient and Seasonal Maintenance
Feed your frame once a month during Spring and Summer. Use a standard liquid houseplant fertilizer at half-strength.
In British Columbia, our seasons dictate our care. In the winter, watering should be done sparingly, but misting is essential. Central heating dries out the air and your leaves.
We recommend occasional misting with a spray bottle to mimic the tropical humidity these plants love.
